Message from Liz Ortega, Executive Secretary-Treasurer, Alameda Labor Council

“We are honored that 143 candidates for local office came to our Labor Council to be interviewed. Almost every one of them impressed us with their respect for the working women and men our unions represent.

Our community is fortunate that so many people seeking office share our values and sought the endorsement of Alameda County’s workers and their unions. 

We congratulate the 60 candidates who we have endorsed. We look forward to working with them to advance our agenda of a more equitable society, where prosperity is shared, work is respected, and opportunity grows.”
